What is a Xoloescuintle?
The Xoloescuintle is an endemic dog from Mexico. This little guy has a very noble spirit and it was considered as the prefect companion by pre hispanic cultures, it has faced several challenges as it faced extintion along with our ancestors during the colonization. As it was poisoned because the catholic church declared it was evil.
It is the representation from Xolotl -Lord and master of death-and its job was to guide the deceased spirit to Mictlan or Xibalba-the land of the dead-,
if you were nice to them in life they would guide you but if you were to harm them they would bite your sould and be disolved and lost.
If you saw the movie Coco the adorable dog Dante personified its loving and charming charisma.
